Prevent – Safeguarding Individuals Vulnerable to Violent Extremism
The current threat of terrorism in the United Kingdom can involve
the exploitation of vulnerable individuals; including children, young people and vulnerable adults. All specified authorities (including organisations proving contracted services) subject to the Prevent Duty need to provide appropriate training for staff.
The Prevent – Safeguarding Individuals Vulnerable to Violent Extremism training course is designed to equip those staff working within the public, private and third sectors to gain a greater understanding of the various factors that may influence an individual towards violent extremism. The course is designed to provide a clear framework for professionals working with children and adults, where possible concerns exist to suggest individuals may be at risk of being radicalised towards violent extremist activity.
