After 15 years as a Director of Conflict Solutions Training & Consultancy Limited, Vince Donovan established a fresh and exciting new training company, built on the reputation achieved in the delivery of Conflict Management and Personal Safety related training. Safety Solutions Training Limited was formed to meet the increasing needs in Health, Safety and Social Care training programs.
Working closely with our clients, we aim to develop and deliver appropriate cost effective training solutions to meet organisational objectives and staff development needs.
Vince Donovan, Director
Vince Donovan served thirty years’ as a police officer with South Wales Police. During his career, he engaged in a variety of challenging roles that included; community policing, CID, firearms, community safety, hate crime management and counter terrorism.
Over the past 17 years, Vince has delivered training to over 350 organisations throughout England and Wales. He is a national keynote speaker on the subject of managing violence and aggression in the workplace and provides specialist training for regional IOSH groups across the country.
Vince regularly participates in interviews on national BBC radio on the subject of personal safety and issues covering radicalisation and violent extremism.

Safety Solutions training currently offer this training to many of our Housing Association clients. This is a highly engaging, popular training course which seeks to address all aspects of challenging behaviour and confrontation social housing staff can unfortunately encounter when carrying out their work.
The current threat of terrorism in the United Kingdom can involve the exploitation of vulnerable individuals; including children, young people and vulnerable adults. All specified authorities (including organisations proving contracted services) subject to the Prevent Duty need to provide appropriate training for staff.
The Prevent – Safeguarding Individuals Vulnerable to Violent Extremism training course is designed to equip those staff working within the public, private and third sectors to gain a greater understanding of the various factors that may influence an individual towards violent extremism. The course is designed to provide a clear framework for professionals working with children and adults, where possible concerns exist to suggest individuals may be at risk of being radicalised towards violent extremist activity.
This one day training course, provides an opportunity to gain an understanding of why young people are attracted to street gangs, gang culture and knife related violence. We look at the law with regards to knife crime and the legal and emotional consequences of carrying a knife. The course aims to develop an understanding as to why young people feel it necessary to belong to gangs, the associated risks and possible indicators.
This course is a must for any professional working with vulnerable young people. It will assist practitioners introduce proactive interventions to support ‘at risk’ young people in tackling this social issue.
